St Giles Hospice is actively recruiting a talented Head of Fundraising to lead their dedicated fundraising team for several months, starting as soon as possible.

Job title: Head of Fundraising

Salary: £50,000 per annum
Location: Whittington, Lichfield
Contract: 6 months maternity contract
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours, flexible for the right candidate with a hybrid working model

The opportunity:

As Head of Fundraising, you will have experience overseeing various income streams, including individual giving, regional fundraising, corporate partnerships, and in-memory fundraising. The key responsibilities include:

  • Provide general oversight and line management support to our fundraising and lottery teams, comprising 26 dedicated individuals. You’ll offer specific guidance and support to a core group of 7 team members.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to drive performance across various income streams, ensuring success in individual giving, regional fundraising, corporate partnerships, and in-memory fundraising.
  • Offer operational support to the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day practices and leveraging your strong fundraising background to provide expert guidance.
  • Foster a resilient team culture, actively developing team members to increase their confidence and effectiveness. Your proactive approach will be instrumental in helping the team navigate challenges.

About You:

We are seeking a seasoned professional with an excellent track record in a similar position. You will possess strong leadership and team-building skills, as well as bring a strategic approach to achieving development within the team and financial targets.
