Here are the job descriptions we developed through consultation with Eastside People for the key leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector. To help you with hiring and managing people, all of the templates are free to download and use.

Writing a job description isn't always easy, but it's crucial to attract qualified applicants and increase employee accountability once they're hired.  

A poorly written job description can cause confusion or inaccurate interpretations, leading to employee dissatisfaction, poor performance, and high turnover.  

An effective job description, on the other hand, can do wonders for retention, and ultimately save you time and money. Employers might also get some protection by using it as a reference in resolving work expectations disputes.
