Here at the Co-operative College, we’ve always done things differently. Born over 100 years ago out of a need for radical education that fights for social justice, our mission hasn’t changed.
We are fearless thinkers, innovators and passionate about change. We are small, but have big plans to make the world a more co-operative place. One where we all work together to put learning at the heart of our communities, workplaces and homes.
We invite you to join us as we pioneer a future that benefits more than just a select few. This is education done with, not to people. We invite you to join us as we pioneer a future that benefits more than just a select few. This is education done with, not to people. It’s learning that inspires people to build a fairer world.
It’s a big, beautiful, colourful world out there and we should celebrate that. That’s why we’re working hard to be a fully diverse and inclusive place to work. Every day we strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued, listened to, supported and where we can do our best work. Sure, there’s always more that can be done. But together with our team, learners, partners and community, we can make everyone welcome.
We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnicity, but as members of Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) groups are currently under-represented in the organisation we particularly encourage applications from BAME candidates. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
If anything prevents you from following our online application process, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org so we can provide an alternative way for you to apply. About the role
We're extremely excited to announce that we're looking for Trustees to join our current Board. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability.
In order to ensure that our Trustee Board's composition is representative of our beneficiaries, and of society in general, applications from groups who are currently under-represented on the Board, including younger people, people with disabilities and people from minority ethnic backgrounds, would be particularly encouraged.
We're also particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with recent professional or lived experience of higher, further or adult education or youth work. While knowledge of the co-operative, education or charity sectors will be beneficial, previous experience as a Trustee or Non-Executive Director is not required.
Hints & Tips
