Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a new Trustee at our amazing children’s hospice in Oxford. We are looking for Trustee who has wide-ranging experience and who is a high performing person. We are field leaders in children’s palliative care and without a great Trustee Board we could not provide the level of care and support that we do.

Helen & Douglas House provides symptom management, end-of-life care, respite, emotional and bereavement support across central southern England.  We are dedicated to the care and support of babies, children, teenagers and young adults and their families. We provide in-house care at our purpose-built facilities in Oxford, 24/7 and we support people in their own homes, their local community, and in hospitals.  We do this through our expert team of staff and volunteers, working closely with each individual, their family, and the wider team of professionals around them.

The Role:

This very fulfilling role is unpaid and a time commitment of at least 12 days a year plus the requirement to attend other ad hoc meetings and events. Board Meetings currently take place bi-monthly in Oxford. Training and support will be provided.
